Rosalee Anderson: Put on Your Shades!
Rosalee will be teaching us how to add life and dimension to your work with shading. Whether you are most comfortable with a broad edge pen, pointed pen or brush marker, you will learn tips to enhance your lettering.
Mrs. Anderson received a BA in art from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, and her home and studio are in Frankfort, KY. She is an involved member of the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH), Rosalee has taught workshops in gilding and illumination. In addition, she has helped increase interest in calligraphy through private lessons and demonstrations at events. Her commissioned work can be found in many churches, private homes, galleries, and stores. Her gift of art has expanded to include illustrations for children’s books and calligraphic designs on walls in churches.

Sad news from our friends in Columbus
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that long-time guild member and officer Sandy Mundy passed away on March 25, 2025. She has had many health issue over the past year.
Sandy served in many positions on the guild board over the years including President. She was a talented calligrapher and worked closely with Bill Lilly. She also taught calligraphy at the guild and to many Japanese students as well as at the Gahanna Senior Center for many years. Her gentle, sweet, kind and sharing spirit will be sorely missed.
A celebration of Life will be planned sometime in the future. Please keep her husband Michael Irvine and her children Emily Irvine and Travis Irvine in your thoughts and prayers.
More sad news to share: Sandy Schaadt’s husband Tom passed away on Friday, March 28th. This great man had been battling cancer. Please keep Sandy and her family in your thoughts and prayers. It is greatly appreciated.
Donate
As most of you may know our dear friend and talented artist Jacqueline is battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is undergoing aggressive treatments. During this time she is not able to work and thus this fundraiser was formed. If you are able to donate anything, I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated by her and her family. Here is the link:

Notes:
Some of our meetings will need to be held in the main Evendale Cultural Arts Building off Reading Rd. This affects our November, March and April meetings, due to event conflicts. I will try to point that out in upcoming e-mails and added it to the side calendar at the left. Stay Creative. Stay Safe. Be Well.
The Greater Cincinnati Calligrapher’s Guild is open to anyone with an interest in the lettering arts.
