Please join us Sat. May 18 at 10 a.m. for our meeting. Amy Owens will be leading us in the making of Weathergrams:
Your favorite sumo inks
- Favorite writing nibs and holders
- Grocery store paper bags or any other kind of craft type paper
- Paper towels
As usual we will have extras to share, so don’t run out and buy anything. Sample above was used with permission from Beth Lee who stated: You probably know that my weathergrams are not good models for Lloyd Reynolds’ vision of them. For that you want this web page:
https://www.portlandsocietyforcalligraphy.org/resources/weathergrams/
But I find that the landscape format has more possibilities.
Planning for next fall
As we take the summer off from meetings keep in mind we are to have an exhibit in the fall in conjunction with the Evendale Cultural Arts Center, so get creating. More info will come as we have it.
Also, please feel free to reach out with any meeting ideas or suggestions. This is everyone’s calligraphy guild and we want to know the type of things our membership wants to do and see.
Everyone have a safe, fun, relaxing and creative summer.
Stay Creative. Stay Safe. Be Well.
The Greater Cincinnati Calligrapher’s Guild is open to anyone with an interest in the lettering arts.
All meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the lower level of the Bell Tower Arts Pavilion, 3270 Glendale Milford Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241, unless otherwise noted.
