It’s been asked about using gouache in our calligraphy and how to use it. Karen McMannon will show us the techniques. We’ll be meeting on Sat. March 18th at 10 a.m. at the Bell Tower Pavilion.
Supply list:
- Gouache (if you already have some)
- Gum Arabic
- Small brushes
- Distilled water or regular water
- Paper
- Your favorite nibs and holders
- Mixing pan
- Also, your favorite liquid gold if you have

2023 Evendale Fine Arts Exhibit
For 21 years, we have had the privilege of showcasing the exceptional artistic talent of artists from all over the tri-state area at the Evendale Fine Arts Exhibit. And this year, we’re excited to do it again!
We’re now accepting submissions from adult artists (18 and over) who live or work within 50 miles of Evendale. From May 5-8, the Evendale Recreation Center will host this juried show, with the opening reception taking place on Friday, May 5 from 6-9 pm.
The early bird deadline is March 10, so don’t wait! Click here to submit your artwork today. The final deadline is March 17, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this amazing exhibit.
We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s exhibit will be juried by locally famous artist Cedric Michael Cox. And the best part? The top artists will receive cash prizes!
