Saturday, May 16, join the guild for an exciting two-part meeting at the Corryville Branch of the Cincinnati Public Library from 10 a.m. to noonish (members are welcome to stay longer, but some of our presenters need to leave by noon.) Presentation will start approx. at 10:15 a.m. once all the technology/projector are set up.
In the first part of the meeting, Kristen Campbell collaborated with Jena Russo, a Cincinnati fashion designer (Imbue By JRusso) on her “Love Letters” gown collection last spring. Jena custom designed gowns while Kristen hand-lettered on various panels of the dresses. Kristen will be sharing what that process was like lettering on fabric, have photos to share with everyone of the process and working with Jena and will have two of the dresses present at the meeting.
The second half of the meeting is a Show n’ Tell. The length of this time will truly depend on how much calligraphy work all the members bring. This is an opportunity for everyone present at the meeting to bring and share some of their wedding and bridal calligraphy work and discuss the process.
Some examples or ideas you could bring might include:  Wedding envelopes, place cards, poems, wedding vows etc.
We learn by sharing and this will be a great opportunity for that!
